Anyway for us the King of self sufficiency is John Seymour and our bible the New Complete Self-sufficiency: The Classic Guide for Realists and Dreamers.The evenings we have spent plotting and planning then thumbing through to see what John Seymour has to say on a particular self sufficiency subject and he has something to say on just about anything you can think of: growing food, keeping livestock, brewing, weaving, tools the list goes on and on. All done in a wry and down to earth style. You just know he has walked his talk. You would probably want more information on most of the things mentioned to do them seriously but there is enough about everything to make a start. This has to be one of the most re-visited books we've bought. Order Online here
